HYBRID THE ARITHMETIC OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM FOR CONSTRAINED OPTIMIZATION PROBLEMS

Since many real-world problems can be designed as optimization problems, heuristic algorithms are increasingly preferred by researchers. The Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm (AOA) is a newly developed algorithm. It uses four arithmetic operations in its structure. addition and subtraction operators enhanced the AOA's local search capability, while multiplication division global capability. has been hybridized with Tree Seed (TSA) to increase success of AOA. Thus, hybrid AOA-TSA (HAOA) proposed. seed production mechanism TSA placed random walking stage New candidate solutions (seeds) have produced involved AOA compared existing solutions. performance increased. In this study, HAOA was tested thirteen constrained problems. for their six different population sizes. Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test applied obtained results proved statistically. superiority HAOA. other methods literature shown. Additionally, also on three engineering design discussed evaluated.
